SIAC Association

After three years of SIAC network now the SIAC Association is established! This creates the possibility to become member, to join forces, to profit from knowledge exchange in our network, to take part in joint projects, to start them together and to find partners.

The transnational network for learning provides the basis for crossfertilizing learning processes in cooperation with other networks and programmes. The association ensures the recognition of the property rights for knowledge and products so that the members can shape their efforts with local and international partners to organize activities and join their forces.

How to become member?

What is our aim?

The aim of the association is to promote social innovation for a more integrated coexistence, through means like, for example:

– organizing Citizens Living Labs in various European cities or regions;

– promoting democratization processes and approaches to favor social innovation both in a local framework and in a broader context;

– promoting equal participation opportunities for all, including individual citizens;

– organizing the exchange of know-how among relevant parties (like citizens, science institutions and cities) and the (further) development of this approach;

– entering in joint projects with relevant parties (be they citizens, authorities, institutions for educational or research projects, NGOs, or businesses) that are centered on the specific promotion of social innovation, exchange of knowledge and know-how, innovation of leadership and joint efforts in favor of social innovation; this means that the association can also present proposals or seek proposals from other parties;

– and in general, any effort related or favorable to all the above.
